Using VECTRA imaging solutions as part of a free evaluation service during patient consultations, Dr. Tiago Baptista Fernandes believes he has reaped the benefits of his VECTRA systems on a practice-level, patient-level, and even on a personal-level.
Before implementing both the VECTRA XT and the VECTRA H1 products as part of his practices’ consultation process, Dr. Tiago would rely on time-consuming surgeon-run consultations. After implementation, he cites a significant improvement. “We use the VECTRA XT daily. I almost don’t remember what it was like before adding the VECTRA systems. I, as the surgeon, used to be in with patients for around 40-50 minutes during their consultations. Since we are now able to have the nurses give information like implants features and surgical techniques via the VECTRA simulation, the patient is able to have the same consultation time with all of her questions answered, but my time is reduced to around 20 minutes per patient. This is a huge time saver because it allows me to delegate responsibilities that can be done by other health professionals.”
Dr. Tiago’s patients also see the benefits of what VECTRA has to offer. “We now have a competitive advantage on consultations due to the VECTRA technology. I would say that roughly 10% of patients come to my practice solely because of the VECTRA system.”
