Medical Imaging in Cosmetic Dermatology

"The highest available standard in medical photography and skin analysis tools as provided by Canfield Scientific has been the foundation of my cosmetic dermatology practice from its start. Today, I couldn't imagine to work a single day without the VISIA, VECTRA, and IntelliStudio Systems. Not only in the day-to-day communication with patients intending to get a treatment for the first time it is important to define the starting point based on reproducible, standardized medical photography and skin evaluation. Also, for the long-term treatment journey, we document the treatment effects over time. These before-after images illustrate the success in a palpable way for the patient and help us to visualize the results of naturalness-retaining treatments that are not instantly recognizable as a “treated look”.
