“Showing a client before and after images in 2D is good, but 3D is much more powerful. The number one thing compelling them to come in is the ability to see their personal results in 3D. Seeing themselves is what closes the deal.
Clients pursuing an aesthetic procedure will often ask, “Is there any way I can see what this will look like?” Dr. Schierle of Northwestern Specialists in Plastic Surgery in Chicago, IL, can honestly say “Yes”. A long-time fan of Canfield Scientific’s products and systems, Dr. Schierle has always enjoyed leveraging new technologies and incorporating them into his practice. So, when the opportunity arose to introduce 3D imaging, he didn’t hesitate.
“At the end of the day, we are a visual specialty. Showing a client before and after images in 2D is good, but 3D is much more powerful,” said Dr. Schierle. “The number one thing compelling them to come in is the ability to see their personal results in 3D. Before and after photos in 2D bring the patients in, seeing their personal before and after images in 3D keeps them in.”
For breast augmentation, the practice offers implant options from FDA-approved manufacturers, and two kinds of sizing are done for each client - physical gel sizers and 3D images. “Gel sizers are great for helping with the weight and feel of an implant, but 3D imaging offers clients a more accurate way to visualize the outcome,” said Dr. Schierle. “Canfield’s VECTRA® 3D system enables clients to visualize an accurate depiction of what their result will be.”
And the benefits of VECTRA 3D go beyond breast augmentation. When working with rhinoplasty clients, Dr. Schierle appreciates the realistic tools given in the palette. The software designed by Canfield mimics surgical moves, so, Dr. Schierle and his colleagues can tell a client how cartilage or bone will be affected. “It is a huge part of the consultation and has a dramatic positive impact on our close rates,” said Dr. Schierle.
The practice also owns and uses Canfield’s VISIA Complexion Analysis System and REVEAL Imager. According to Dr. Schierle, breast augmentation and rhinoplasty can be seasonal, but the MedSpa business is steady. Added Dr. Schierle, “In our practice, there is a Canfield product being used every day all day.”
